Celebrating Excellence in Student Research at the CenTiRe Spring IAB Conference
One of the highlights of the CenTiRe Spring Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Conference is the opportunity to showcase the outstanding work of our student researchers—and this year was no exception. We are proud to recognize several individuals whose presentations demonstrated exceptional technical depth, clarity, and professionalism.
Congratulations to Brennan Crawford (University of Akron), who earned Excellence in Student Presentation Award (2nd Place). In addition, Brennan was recognized with the Best Poster Presentation Award—a new honor introduced this year to highlight excellence in one-on-one technical communication. This award reflects the ability to clearly and effectively convey complex ideas in a more interactive setting, and Brennan’s performance truly stood out.
We also extend our congratulations to Amir Meshkati (Virginia Tech), who received the Outstanding Student Presentation Award (1st Place). Amir’s work exemplified not only technical rigor but also the ability to communicate research impact to a diverse audience of industry and academic stakeholders.
These awards reflect the high caliber of talent within the CenTiRe community and the importance we place on strong technical communication—both in formal presentations and more personalized discussions.
If your organization is interested in engaging with CenTiRe—whether through collaboration, mentorship, or shaping future research directions—we welcome the opportunity to connect. Please reach out to learn more about how to get involved.
Please join us in congratulating Brennan and Amir on their well-deserved recognition. We look forward to seeing their continued contributions and future successes.
