CenTiRe Industry Advisory Board Conference Successfully Convened at the University of Akron

The Center for Tire Research (CenTiRe) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its recent Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Conference, held October 28–29 on the University of Akron campus. The event brought together more than 80 participants, including industry representatives, faculty, and students from both the University of Akron and Virginia Tech.

Over the course of two days, attendees reviewed progress reports on 12 ongoing research projects and evaluated 14 new research proposals aimed at advancing tire and vehicle dynamics technologies. The discussions were highly engaging and productive, reflecting the collaborative spirit and shared commitment that continue to define CenTiRe’s partnership between academia and industry.

The conference also featured the presentation of Student Presentation Awards and the 2025 Industry Mentor-of-the-Year Awards. Details regarding these recognitions will be highlighted in forthcoming articles.
