CenTiRe Awarded Phase III NSF / IUCRC 5-Year Grant

The CenTiRe team is proud to announce that our center has been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF), as part of their Industry / University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) program.  This is the third consecutive 5-year grant awarded to our center, with Phase III consisting of $500,000 total, to distributed to both Virginia Tech and University of Akron.  The grant period starts 5/1/2022 and concludes 4/30/2027.  The grant funds cover the majority of our centers’ administrative costs, which allows the industry membership dues to be concentrated on research funding.  CenTiRe is proud to list the NSF as one of our centers’ supporters and we look forward to continuing our partnership for the next 5 years.
