Center for Tire Research
An NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center

The faculty members at the two university sites provide their expertise to propose and guide the research work carried out at the Center. Each year the faculty submit research proposals to the Center’s Industry Advisory Board (IAB) in response to the IAB’s request for proposals. They are also free to submit research proposals on topics not requested by the IAB, but which could be of interest to the members.

During the conduction of the research project, the faculty provide their technical expertise and guidance to the graduate student(s) performing the research. They also interact with the industry mentors and IAB members, which can result in additional future research opportunities.
